A quantity of flights are being cancelled in Italy as we speak as strike motion sweeps main airports. Air visitors control workers at the Rome Control Center plan to halt operations from 10 am to 6pm, a transfer expected to disrupt practically all flights passing through central Italy, including departures, arrivals, and overflights.

Workers at ENAV Naples will be part of the strike during the same eight‑hour window, including further pressure to air visitors across the area. A 4‑hour strike is scheduled at Palermo Airport from 12pm to 4pm, involving workers from GH Palermo, ASC Handling, and Aviapartner Palermo.

At the same time, EasyJet pilots and flight attendants are set to stage an eight‑hour walkout from 10am to 6pm.

Due to the wider disruption across Italy’s air transport sector, ENAV ITA Airways has already announced that “following the announcement of eight-hour strike action involving the Italian air transport sector, it has been forced to cancel approximately 38% of its schedule.”

The company is urging all passengers holding tickets for the strike day to confirm their flight standing before heading to the airport, either by checking the Flight Status part on ita‑airways.com or by contacting the journey company where they made their reserving.

This helps travellers keep away from pointless journeys and keep up to date on any cancellations or schedule modifications.
