UFC commentator Daniel Cormier reacted to the horrible standup by referee Dan Miragliotta in the fundamental occasion of UFC Vegas 123.
In the fundamental occasion of UFC Vegas 123, light-weight veteran Renato Moicano had back control on rival Tom Nolan and was working for a submission. But for whatever motive, Miragliotta stood the fighters up, which straight ended up main to Moicano getting knocked out after the battle went back to its toes.

While Moicano has been gracious in defeat following the battle and has only congratulated his opponent on his large win, many MMA fighters and those in the know have closely criticized Miragliotta for his braindead resolution to stand the battle up.
Daniel Cormier Reacts to UFC Vegas 123 Standup
Speaking on Paramount+ following UFC Vegas 123, Cormier shared his response to the horrible standup by the referee in the Moicano vs. Nolan bout.
“I just don’t think a ref should take anybody out of mount, ever. Should never take anybody off the back like that. I just don’t think you take those type of positions and change it. They’re just too dominant,” Cormier said following UFC Vegas 123.
Not Tom Nolan’s Fault
At the finish of the day, the standup was not Nolan’s fault, so the fighter should not be blamed for what the referee did. But at the same time, there is no doubt that this stand-up modified the whole trajectory of this battle, and Moicano should be extraordinarily upset following what occurred to him.

To Moicano’s credit, he has taken the high highway following the defeat and seems to be attempting to be a good man about the entire scenario, but as Cormier said, there is no doubt that he got the short finish of the stick from the referee, as what occurred to him should merely never occur in an MMA battle.
Since Nolan got a post-fight bonus, it would not appear like the UFC is upset with him for what occurred. But there is no doubt this was a large mess, and the stand-up by Miragliotta modified the whole battle and therefore the careers of both of the fighters.
