Alex Pereira does not believe that Ciryl Gane’s heavyweight title struggle with Josh Hokit should be headlining UFC 334 this November at Madison Square Garden, leaving “Poatan” left to promote the struggle himself.

In case you missed it, Gane vs. Hokit was booked to most important occasion UFC’s return to New York City on Nov. 14. This came after Tom Aspinall vacated his heavyweight title. Pereira, who is expected to face heavyweight contender Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335 this December, was hoping to earn another shot at the heavyweight title after coming up short against Gane back at UFC’s White House last June. “Poatan” has been very vocal about Gane throwing unlawful strikes to the back of the head to end the struggle so it’s protected to say he’s still bitter about the loss. Pereira also has historical past with Hokit after getting pressed backstage by the trash-talking heavyweight earlier this yr (see it HERE).
