Mar. 16—GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Cumberland’s women posted the lowest round of the Chattachoochee Collegiate finishing in third place while Matilda Lind took home a third-place finish Tuesday.

The Phoenix fired a 308 in round two to total 636 strokes in the 36-hole event. Truett McConnell won the tournament with 620 strokes while Southeastern finished second two strokes ahead of Cumberland. Coastal Georgia shot a 324 in round two to slip from second to fourth.

Lind finished in third place to earn all-tournament honors. She posted a 78 on day two to combine for 153 strokes in the tournament. Lind started her day with an eagle on Hole No. 16 before picking up seven bogeys and a double. She added a birdie on her second to last hole to shoot the six-over.

Caitlyn Bilham posted a top-10 finish tying for ninth place at 159 strokes. Bilham shot a tie for the team low round on day two posting a 76. She played consistent golf notching 12 pars, one birdie on No. 18 and five bogeys.

Nathalie Nutu moved up two spots to finish tied for 15th place. She started her day on fire with three-straight birdies before finishing with nine bogeys and five pars. She shot a 78 in the final round to total 162.

Lucy Labdon tied with Nutu for 15th place. Labdon also shot a 76 today for the team-low round. Labdon carded 14 pars and four bogeys in her round playing steady golf.

Ida Furuheim tied for 25 place after carding an 84 in her final round. Furuheim totaled 170 strokes in the two rounds on the day.

Cumberland will be back in action at the Music City Classic on April 8-9 at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory.
