A congresswoman has made an extraordinary claim that Donald Trump is being handled for Alzheimer’s. California Representative Sydney Kamlager-Dove posted pictures of the US preisdent showing to go to sleep during a Cabinet assembly and displaying his bruises. She speculated that he might be on Leqembi, a drug used to deal with early-stage Alzheimer’s.
Ms Kamlager-Dove wrote on X: “The Alzheimer’s drug Leqembi: Is administered through an infusion (for example, through the hand), can cause swelling, bleeding, or fluid leakage in the brain, requiring regular MRIs, can cause tiredness. Curious.” Her post prompted several people to mock Mr Trump, with one individual commenting, “Oh look, it’s President Sleepy”.
Others called for the release of his medical data. One individual wrote: “He’s the healthiest person ever, right? Shouldn’t be a problem.”
However, some accused Ms Kamlager-Dove of hypocrisy for not criticising former President Joe Biden in the same manner. “Cool, now do Joe Biden,” one individual said.
Another added: “Oh, good grief! Could you possibly speculate anymore? The guy shakes hands ALL day. We’ve already established the bruise. Perfectly normal.”
White House doctor Sean Barbabella said on Monday that the president “remains in perfect overall health” following a “comprehensive executive physical”.
In a memo, he confirmed that superior imaging of Mr Trump’s coronary heart and stomach returned “perfectly normal” outcomes.
The day before, Mr Trump revealed he had undergone an MRI scan, but was uncertain which half of his physique was examined.
He said: “I have no idea. It was just an MRI – what part of the body? It wasn’t the brain, because I took a cognitive test and I aced it.”
Mr Barbabella famous that the president underwent a bodily in October “because men in his age group benefit from thorough evaluation of cardiovascular and abdominal health”.
He added that there was no evidence of arterial narrowing that could hinder blood circulation or abnormalities in the president’s coronary heart or main vessels.
