Oracle Park, the home to the San Francisco Giants, is proper on the water and has been a hub for the franchise since it moved from Candlestick Park at the begin of the century.

Right next to Oracle Park is a bar called District San Francisco.

For the previous 18 years, that place has become a common spot for followers to come before and after Giants video games.

But the proprietor posted a unhappy farewell message on the bar’s official Instagram web page.

“It’s with a heavy heart that we say farewell to our San Francisco location…where it all started for District in 2007,” the post learn. “It was an amazing journey with so many great people along the way. The relationships we built with staff, customers and partners will last forever. But this version of District is history as of Tuesday July 1st. So come on out one last time to the mothership location and help us send her off…Thank you for 18 wonderful years! And don’t forget to come see us between now and July 1st to bid farewell to District San Francisco.”

Fans were saddened by the information and commented lots on the post.

“I’m so bummed. Had many fun times there, especially pre and post Giants games,” one fan replied. “District SF will be missed. Thanks for the wonderful memories,” another said.

“It’s the end of an era,” another said with a unhappy emoji face. “We’re going to miss you guys! The neighborhood won’t be the same without you,” said another.

“Nooo! Living at The Beacon across the street, this place (along with 330 Ritch and 25 Lusk) was my entire social life in the late 2000’s!” commented another.

A few others had unhappy emoji faces and the response of “it’s the end of an era.”

For those still wanting to go to the District, the company has areas in Oakland and San Jose as properly as one at the Oakland Airport.
