The hit Netflix collection Bridgerton is filmed against the backdrop of beautiful Georgian structure, grand manors and quintessential gardens. And one of its UK filming areas is just as picturesque and romantic as the show itself, as I discovered out during a charming day out.
I bear in mind sitting down to watch Netflix’s Bridgerton in December 2020, when it was first launched and notably during the pandemic. It provided a well-needed escape into the romantic story of Daphne Bridgerton and the Duke of Hastings, as it unravelled across eight episodes.
Since then, it’s become a big hit and is one of the most-watched reveals on the streaming platform. Part one of the fourth season of Bridgerton is set to be launched on January 29, with half two arriving on February 26, as it follows Benedict’s love story.

Amid the characters’ journey and the regency-era fashion, the show’s backdrop is romanticised with lavish halls for soirées, grand manor homes, and the charming British countryside. It’s nothing short of spectacular, and some of its famed filming areas are nestled in the UK.
One of its latest additions, set to function in the fourth collection, is Loseley House in Surrey, after Bridgerton stars Luke Thompson (Benedict Bridgerton) and Yerin Ha (Sophie Baek) were noticed filming there. The grand nation manor, constructed between 1562 and 1568, is set within the 1,400-acre Loseley Park and just a short drive from Guildford.
As I eagerly await the new collection and as an avid Bridgerton fan, I opted to go to the primary, and arguably most well-liked filming vacation spot – the beautiful metropolis of Bath. It was clear to see why they selected the scenic metropolis as half of the backdrop for the period drama.
Found in the valley of the River Avon in Somerset, Bath is famed for its putting Georgian structure, preserved Roman baths, natural scorching springs and UNESCO World Heritage standing. It’s adorned with honey-coloured buildings, including those along Bath Street, Trim Street, and around Beauford Square, all featured in the collection.

It’s home to iconic sights, including The Royal Crescent. The sweeping rows of Georgian terraced buildings are among the most well-liked locations to go to in Bath and are just as putting in particular person, with their scenes in Bridgerton only including to their prominence.
Elsewhere in Bath, I visited the sq. where the magnificent Abbey lies, and around the nook, The Abbey Deli, which is used as the iconic Modiste costume store in the Netflix show. Its beautiful exterior, with curved home windows, is just as inviting as the inside, and it’s nicely price popping by for a espresso or a tasty deal with!
The grand Holburne Museum has been used as the exterior of Lady Danbury’s townhouse, another putting building in the metropolis. I also handed by the historic Assembly Rooms and imagined myself attending a lavish ball as I admired the Guildhall, which served as the exterior for one of the show’s soirees.
However, it’s unclear whether Bath will function in the fourth collection as it did before, or at all. Country and Townhouse reported that, due to the metropolis’s reputation since the first collection of Bridgerton, filming in Bath has ‘elevated in problem’ as followers collect close to the set, so some scenes might depict the Georgian metropolis but might be shot elsewhere.

Nevertheless, if you’re a Bridgerton fan, a go to to Bath is still nicely price it, with it simple to spend the day wandering the historic streets and real-life movie set. But even if you’re not, it’s beautiful structure, thriving food scene, iconic landmarks, impartial outlets, eateries, cosy espresso outlets and the Pulteney Bridge, is sure to warrant a journey.
Aside from Bath, there are several other scenic UK locations that have served as the backdrop for the collection. From Ranger’s House in Greenwich, Lancaster House in London, Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, Castle Howard in York, Wilton House in Salisbury, Basildon Park in Lower Basildon, Kingston Bagpuize House in Abingdon, and Claydon House in Buckinghamshire.
Bridgerton actually is filmed all over the UK, with collection 4 set to welcome back some of its most iconic areas.
