PHILADELPHIA — Mike Brown turned to baseball to clarify the sloppiness.
The Knicks coach was not pleased with the 13 turnovers his group dedicated during their 98-93 loss to the 76ers on Friday evening at Xfinity Center.
The 76ers turned those turnovers into 23 factors.
“It’s been going on all year,” Brown said. “We’re making an attempt to hit a home run every time we get the ball. And we have to hit singles. We can’t hit a home run. We gotta hit singles offensively and then if our play breaks down, we have to transfer.

“There’s too many times where we have too many guys trying to iso. And the other four guys sitting there and staring at the ball a whole possession and then we’re burping up bad shots.”
The crisp ball motion that grew to become a staple during the championship run last yr has not been constant through six video games this season. They’re instead making an attempt to pressure it into areas that are not open.
“Just a little careless,” Jalen Brunson said. “And sometimes it can be us being hesitant as well, wanting to make the right play, but they’re also not trying to turn it over, and then it’s just a little late to our decision-making. It could be a lot of things, but obviously we got to clean it up.”
Added Josh Hart: “Some of them are just trying to make tough passes. Other ones, I don’t know. We just have to be more conscious of passes, what we’re doing, trying to be more deliberate.”
Karl-Anthony Towns wore a brace on his left hand after Friday’s recreation.
He injured it falling to the court during the Knicks’ win over the Bulls on Wednesday.
He wore it after Wednesday’s recreation as effectively.
When requested if it is something he will have to deal with in the close to future, Towns was mum.
“I think the Knicks gotta deal with the teams bringing their best shot every day,” Towns said. “That’s what I think. That’s something to deal with in the future.”
