Piers Morgan has issued a “huge development” with Donald Trump after the US President urged lawmakers in his own political social gathering to release information relating to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Taking to X, Morgan wrote: “President Trump tells House Republicans to release the Epstein files. Huge development in this long-running scandal.”
Attatched to Morgan’s tweet was a screengrab of Trump’s Truth Social post, shared on Sunday night time, which learn: “As I said on Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide, and it’s time to move on from this Democrat Hoax perpetrated by Radical Left Lunatics in order to deflect from the Great Success of the Republican Party, including our recent Victory on the Democrat ‘Shutdown'”.
Trump has always denied any hyperlink to disgraced financier Epstein’s intercourse abuse and trafficking. He was discovered lifeless in his New York jail cell in 2019 after being held on costs of intercourse trafficking.
The President has branded the consideration over the Epstein information a Democratic-led “hoax” to draw consideration away from his authorities.
He added in his Truth Social post: “The Department of Justice has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the Public on ‘Epstein,’ are looking at various Democrat operatives (Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc.) and their relationship to Epstein, and the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to, I DON’T CARE.”
Trump also said he wished Republicans to “get back on point” as half of his prolonged social media post.
Morgan’s followers were fast to remark on his tweet, with one remarking: “However people feel about the politics behind it, releasing the full files is the only way to remove speculation and restore public trust. Sunlight ends the guessing, the rumours, and the weaponising. If there’s nothing to hide, transparency should be the easiest decision of all.”
Another said: “If Trump really means it, this could be a win for transparency. Releasing Epstein files would help the public understand the full scope of the scandal.”
