San Francisco 49er’s proprietor Jed York‘s trailer park prostitution bust has him straight in the crosshairs of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.

“It’s being reviewed under the personal conduct policy,” Goodell said at the NFL house owners assembly in Atlanta Wednesday. “We’ll do that and when there’s something to be reported we’ll talk.” 

The NFL has not announced that York violated the coverage or that he will be disciplined.

Instead, the league is figuring out whether his conduct warrants punishment under guidelines that apply to everyone in the NFL, including gamers, coaches and crew house owners. 

The coverage gives the league broad authority to examine off-field conduct and impose self-discipline even when prison expenses are lowered or otherwise resolved.

The development came as newly launched police body-camera footage, obtained by the California Post, confirmed the second officers approached York’s SUV during Sunday’s sting at a cell home park in East Palestine, Ohio.

In the footage, officers ask York what he is doing.

“Just driving,” York responds.

An officer then asks whether he is assembly anyone. York says no before officers place him in handcuffs and lead him to a police cruiser.

York, 45, had responded to an online commercial posted by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force and agreed to pay $160 for intercourse with a girl he believed was a prostitute, according to police and court data.

He was arrested Sunday and initially confronted a prostitution charge. 

He pleaded no contest Monday to misdemeanor expenses of disorderly conduct and possessing prison instruments.

He was sentenced to one day in jail, credited with time served, and fined $1,150. The $160 seized during the arrest was forfeited to the human trafficking activity drive, and York also accomplished an online instructional course.

York has spent much of the summer season in Ohio, where he grew up close to Youngstown. He was notably absent from Wednesday’s house owners conferences in Atlanta, with 49ers CEO Al Guido representing the crew. 

Court data show York filed for divorce from his spouse, Danielle Belluomini York, in May. 

The NFL has beforehand punished crew house owners under its personal conduct coverage.

Former Indianapolis Colts proprietor Jim Irsay, for instance, was suspended for six video games and fined $500,000 in 2014 after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor charge of working a vehicle while intoxicated. The NFL said at the time that Irsay had violated the personal conduct coverage. 

New England Patriots proprietor Robert Kraft, meanwhile, was arrested in Florida in 2019 in a prostitution-related case but was not disciplined by the NFL.

Prosecutors finally dropped the expenses after a court ruled that police had violated the constitutional rights of Kraft and other clients by secretly recording inside therapeutic massage rooms.
