Shannon Sharpe fires back at Jaguars star Travis Hunter’s spouse after ‘two approach’ shade

Jacksonville Jaguars star Travis Hunter turned the first NFL participant in 24 years to catch a landing go and document an interception in the same sport on Sunday.

His spouse, Leanna Lenee, took this alternative to call out NFL icon and media persona Shannon Sharpe, who she believes has been crucial of Hunter.

During Sunday’s sport, Hunter’s spouse posted an Instagram story that was captioned, “Anyways… @shannonsharpe84 When you speak about my husband make sure you put ‘TWO WAY’ player in front.”

She has clearly taken subject with previous feedback Sharpe has made about Hunter.

Sharpe responded to this callout from Hunter’s spouse during an episode of his “Night Cap” show on Sunday evening.

“We’ve been abundantly clear that the likelihood of him playing every snap, every down, on both sides of the ball isn’t gonna happen,” Sharpe said after studying what Hunter’s spouse’s Instagram story learn.

“Play him on the defensive side of the football and play him in [offensive] packages. That’s what they did today… He played nine snaps [on offense against the Texans] That’s all we said!” Sharpe continued.

“Hey, I understand that is your husband, and you’re supposed to ride for him. But if you’re gonna take what I said — and I appreciate you watching the show, that means more to me than anything… All I ever said was that he’s not playing every snap, on every down, on both sides of the ball. I believe he’s an every-down corner, and then you sprinkle him in packages,” he added.

It sounds like Sharpe doesn’t really feel like this criticism was warranted, given what he has really said about Hunter.
