David Harbour seemed unrecognizable as filming kicked off on his new film, “Evil Genius,” in Woodbridge, New Jersey, on Monday.

The “Stranger Things” star, 50, was noticed on set while dressed in a fats swimsuit that made him seem much heavier than his fan-favorite character, Jim Hopper, in the hit Netflix collection.

One photograph confirmed the “Thunderbolts” star standing off to the facet and holding a script in-between takes, while another caught him laughing it up and smiling over at the digital camera.

Directed by “Friends” alum Courteney Cox, “Evil Genius” is based mostly on Barbara Schroeder and Trey Borzillieri’s 2018 true crime documentary of the same identify.

The authentic four-part doc explored the notorious “pizza bomber” case, which unfolded in 2003 when a 46-year-old pizza deliveryman named Brian Wells held up a bank in Erie, Pennsylvania, with a bomb strapped around his neck.

Wells finally died when the bomb was detonated shortly after the theft.

“I’ve been fascinated by ‘Evil Genius’ since I first saw the documentary,” Cox, 61, informed Deadline when the project was formally announced on Nov. 5.

“It’s stranger than fiction,” she continued. “At moments darkly funny and yet deeply emotional. A story about love, loneliness, manipulation, and the people on the fringes who get pulled into something much bigger than themselves.”

Although there were rumors that fellow “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown, 21, accused Harbour of harassment and bullying on the set of the Netflix hit, the pair appeared nearer than ever during the Season 5 premiere in Los Angeles last week.

“I’ve obviously had a really special bond with David because we have a father-daughter relationship, and we do every scene together,” Brown informed Entertainment Tonight during the occasion. “You really get to see that in season 5.”

“I adore her, and I’ve been proud to watch all of them grow up and become great artists,” Harbour informed the outlet. “I doubt it will be the last time we’ll see each other in this world or work together.”

“Stranger Things” creator Matt Duffer and co-executive producer Shawn Levy addressed the bullying and harassment claims head-on at the Nov. 6 premiere.

“Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal on-set matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them,” Duffer, 41, informed The Hollywood Reporter.

“At the end of the day, that’s the job,” Levy, 57, added. “You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”

Harbour lately made headlines thanks to his estranged spouse, Lily Allen, too. The “Smile” singer, 40, appeared to accuse Harbour of dishonest on her in her newly-released “revenge” album, “West End Girl.”

In February, People reported that the pair break up after 4 years of marriage.
