Republicans have desperately needed management and a midterm election message that appeals to voters. Instead, they got a mentally declining 80-year-old felon ranting about reflecting swimming pools and grass for 25 minutes.

I will not recap everything that Trump rambled on about during those 25 minutes, but his message to America was an attempt to blame “vandals” for breaking the Reflecting Pool instead of himself.
Trump said:

So we determined to get concerned with the Reflecting Pool once and for all for America’s 250th anniversary, and it was our purpose to open it quickly for the July 4th weekend.

We got it open a little sooner than that and we were gonna close it then and redo the pipes because the pipes are very outdated and in unhealthy form, but we would not have been ready to do that. So we closed it, and we began to do… Then we had we opened it shortly, and there was great vandalism with slashing. We have footage of it. We have pictures of it.
In reality I w- must say, Jesse Watters of Fox did a entire long piece on it and it’s– it was unhappy to watch because the vandals actually went to city. Lots of people tried to defend the vandals.
But we got it carried out. We opened it just now f- with the pipes. The pipes now are completely renovated. They’re brand-new pipes put in, and the pipes being very important in phrases of the algae and other issues. And it’s a full job, and we’re very proud of it. We got actually a… Got it carried out for a small fra- fraction of what the Obama and Biden spent on it.
They spent a super quantity. They never got it carried out. That’s why we had to do it. So we fixed the leaks. We resurfaced the backside in a, a lovely darkish blue, very darkish blue. They call it American flag blue, but it’s very darkish. And if you had a common blue, like I personally love the lighter coloration blue, but then you would not have any reflecting.
Worried about inflation, gasoline costs, can’t afford to dwell? The Republican Party is not the place for you, because this president is busy defending the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool from vandals that his own DOJ wrote in a legal submitting don’t exist.
