Downtown Royal Oak’s Arts, Beats & Eats competition is in full swing this Labor Day weekend.
Thinking about heading to downtown Royal Oak for some music and food between Saturday, Aug. 30 and Monday, Sept. 1? Here’s where the competition reccomends parking:

There are two downtown tons with $15 parking during the competition:

Rock on Third behind the pub at 112 East Third St.

Farmers Market at 316 East 11 Mile Road. The lot will still be free to market prospects as regular until 1 p.m. on Saturday

Bike parking
Bike parking is free and first come, first served. On Saturday and Sunday, the bike corral will be open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. On Monday, the bike corral will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Washington Street just south of Lincoln has 800 bike spots.

Washington Street close to Second Avenue has 1,000 bike spots.
The competition suggests bikers keep off the sidewalks, 11 Mile Road and Main Street.

Festivalgoers and anyone in bus routes can go to www.smartbus.org to discover stations and bus routes.
Where not to park

Within a mile radius from the competition, all parking in neighborhoods require a allow. Vehicles parked in a neighborhood without a allow are subject to a $50 advantageous or to be towed if resident parking issues come up.

Royal Oak parking meters will be closed during the competition to keep away from visitors and circling vehicles wanting for spots.
