Las Vegas Raiders star edge rusher Maxx Crosby is no stranger to tackling Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Crosby has tallied 6.5 sacks and a staggering 49 quarterback pressures against Mahomes in his profession. Therefore, he’s more certified than anyone to point out how Mahomes reacts to being tackled.
On Tuesday’s episode of his podcast, “The Rush,” Crosby gave some insight on what it’s like to put strain on the two-time MVP.
“Pat, [we] had our back and forth’s all game. I felt like I definitely got to him a few times. We had our conversations, but ultimate respect with him. He knows that,” Crosby said.
Crosby’s co-host, Brogan Roback, then requested about his exchanges with Mahomes during the recreation.
“It started early. We were very close to each other, physically, out of the gate. Got some good hits on him. It’s just funny, every time I hit him, he rolls over and he peeks at me, just to see. And I’m always in his face, just staring at him,” Crosby said.
Crosby then spoke about the irritating expertise of tackling Mahomes proper after he gets a move off.
“Does Mahomes make noise when you tackle him?” Roback requested.
“I don’t know,” Crosby said. He then imitated a “Ugh!” sound that conspicuously like a moan.
“A whine? Don’t say moan, just don’t say that word,” Roback then said.
“There’s no other word! But yeah,” Crosby said with a snicker.
Mahomes might have to muster a response to Crosby’s moaning allegations.
