LEWISBURG — Lewisburg took two of the three singles matches to eke out a 3-2 Heartland Athletic Conference-crossover win over Jersey Shore in boys tennis action on Friday.
Even though two-time District 4 singles finalist Will Cecchini lost at No. 1 singles to Ryder Fink, Alexey Rosenberg and Canyon Swartzentruber backed him up with wins in their singles matches. Both Rosenberg and Swartzentruber won in straight sets.
The two teams split the doubles matches. Henry Heitzelman and Tyson Nicholls dropped just one game to help the Green Dragons (3-0 overall, 2-0 HAC-II) stay undefeated on the young season.
