The Ukrainian Naval Band has joined the Band of the Scots Guards for a efficiency at Buckingham Palace to mark Ukraine’s independence day.
The two bands performed in formation at the altering of the guard on Monday, with the Scots Guards sporting their distinctive purple tunics and bearskin hats, and the Ukrainian navy dressed in white.
The efficiency came a day after the Independence Day of Ukraine, which falls on August 24, and has taken on better significance since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
Posting about the efficiency on social media, the UK’s Ministry of Defence wrote: “We stand by you, Ukraine. Now and always.”
