Ric Flair was hospitalized shortly after saying he was dealing with blood clots, according to TMZ.

The WWE Hall of Famer was at a restaurant in Tampa, Fla. on Friday morning when he walked outside and “suddenly fell and injured his face,” per the outlet.

Flair, 77, is said to have cut his head and eye open before leaving in an ambulance.

Just hours earlier, Flair advised followers on social media he was canceling a scheduled look at Washington State Horror Con in Seattle after being identified with a blood clot in his leg.

“Unfortunately, I Am Dealing With A Blood Clot In My Leg, And My Doctors Have Limited My Travel To 3–4 Hours,” Flair wrote. “Seattle Falls Outside That Range, And As Disappointed As I Am, I Have To Put My Health And Recovery First.

“Blood Clots Are Extremely Serious And Can Be Life-Threatening. We Have Seen This Recently With Jalen Hurts And The Complications Involving Blood Clots In His Lungs. It Is A Reminder That This Is Not Something To Take Lightly, And I Must Follow Medical Advice.”

Flair added that he was scheduled to bear a process to deal with the affected vein, which he hoped would permit him to resume touring.

In May, Flair revealed that he was dealing with “health issues” and was taking time to “focus on” his health after ranting over what appeared at the time to be a trademark struggle with his son.

In 2017, Flair was put in a medically induced coma due to a number of organ failure.
