With the fantasy season operating out of runway, it is time to neglect about long-term sustainability. Now is the time to discover the hottest bats sitting on the waiver wire, hop on board and trip the streak until the wheels fall off — or, ideally, until there is a trophy in your arms.
Connor Norby was Baltimore’s second-round choose in the 2021 draft. He performed 9 video games for the O’s before being traded to the Marlins, where he principally underwhelmed over components of three injury-riddled seasons.
Norby, however, seems to have discovered his footing with the Rockies after being acquired at the commerce deadline and called up on Aug. 10.
The 26-year-old hit .304 with two homers, 9 RBIs, 9 runs, two stolen bases and a .951 OPS in his first 15 video games with Colorado. He entered the weekend with a 12-game hit streak, hitting .359 with a 1.060 OPS in that stretch.
