He fell exhausting for them.

A hapless robot proved they’re not so totally different from us when it toppled down the stairs after seemingly getting distracted by machine cheerleaders.

The blooper-worthy wipeout transpired at the second World Humanoid Robot Games, held from August 22-26 in Beijing, China where 2,056 automated athletes from 16 international locations competed in both sports activities and real-world duties.

However, not every machine showcased superhumanoid athletic talents at this rob-olympiad.

In the hilarious clip with 1.3 million views on X, 5 automated bipeds are seen executing a cheerleading routine while decked out in colourful wigs and short skirts and waving pom–poms.

The clip then zooms out to show a silver droid ascending a podium in the foreground, when partway through the climb, the droid swivels its head to get a nearer look.

This resolution proves disastrous as the high-tech hornball ends up tripping on the stairs and tumbling over the railing headfirst like something out of a slapstick comedy.

X commenters had a area day with the robo-gawker’s epic fall.

“Don’t get distracted by a pretty face at work — whether you’re carbon-based or not,” quipped the uploader.

Another remarked, “it is now proven that us men are very simple creatures.”

“Bro lost focus,” said a third.

“With apologies to Philip K Dick….Do Androids Dream of Electric Boobs?” joked one social media satirist, referencing the sci-fi traditional.

Of course, this wasn’t the only time a bumbling droid ate it at the Games — there were a lot of other robo flops that proved we might not have to worry the rise of the machines just yet.

In another slip-up caught on digicam, a artificial strongman’s attempt to hoist a 35 pound-barbell backfired terribly after it dropped the weight and toppled headfirst into the judges’ desk.

However, for every cringe-worthy malfunction, there was a feat of automated athleticism that went far beyond human capabilities.

For occasion, a robot named Lightning ran at the 100 meter sprint in 9.32 seconds, shattering the earlier file of 9.58 seconds set by Usain Bolt in 2009.

During the blistering run, the robo-runner achieved a file velocity of 14.5 meters per second — around 32mph.
